An Extraordinary Ordinary Day

So there we were - sitting in the living room thinking that this is just an ordinary Thursday.

But this was no ordinary Thursday. This was an extraordinary Thursday.

You see, midday the doorbell rang.

And nobody was there.

Bot something was there.

Something very unexpected.

Something very special.

It caused our jaws to drop and left us speechless.

Speechless for a moment at least.

And then Ammely found her words.

Words like "WOW!" and "Want open!"

I think she said those two phrases about a hundred times.

This ENORMOUSLY generous gift was sent directly to "Lynnden and Ammely Baysinger" from Cousin Barb all the way back in Iowa!

But mommy made her wait until Daddy got home to open this beauty.

Needless to say, she was EXTRA happy when Daddy got home.

She eagerly stood by interfered and "helped" Daddy identify the important parts: "It's CAR Daddy!"

And in no time they were able to turn this:

into this:

After hours that seemed like eternities, one toddler girl got to go driving with her Daddy. And life was GOOD.

Does it get better than this? A HUGE surprise on an otherwise ordinary day - I don't think it could get any better for one pretty little girl.

But wait! The delivery note said it was for TWO pretty little girls.

Yup, you are right Barb! Ammely IS ready to drive Lynnden around town.

But Lynnden thought she might need a few more practice hours before she fully trusts her big sister to such a monumental task.

Ammely is more than happy to do the time.

I'm not sure I've ever heard Ammely say thank you so many times. All night long all we heard was "Ammely's car!" and "THANK YOU!"

But THANK YOU simply doesn't cover it! Hopefully it will do anyhow: thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!
