Slippery When Wet

(Apologies for the quality... we do the best we can with cell phones.)

No...we have only just begun...

How to make snow ice cream

Step 1: Gather Snow
Step 2: Add one 12 oz can of evaporated milk
Step 3: Add sugar Step 4: Add vanilla
Step 5: Mix it all togetherStep 6: Try it to make sure it tastes right
No, REALLY... Try it!
Step 7: Serve in bowls
Step 8: Add flavors, if desired

Step 9: Enjoy

Oh no...snow!

We got the first real snowfall of the season this Tuesday. So naturally we went to check it out. And how does an Arizona native check out the snow? Obviously, in shorts and flip-flops!

Oh, but the flasbacks of Russia came fast. And so, the next emergence involved a much greater layering of clothing...

(for all those who are wondering, Ammon is talking to "le papa!" - as in The Baysinger le Papa)

And this is what going to work/school looks like in Wyoming in November: (not too pretty, huh?)

Halloween the Newlywed Way

Well, we talked about Halloween all month. Actually, we talked about Halloween pretty much since we got married. But as it turns out, Halloween is not so grand when it lands on a Sunday, you've got no where to go but to work on the Saturday before, and you've got no family within a 100 mile radius. So alas, we didn't do much.

Still, we DID do some things in hopes of keeping the spirit of Halloween alive.

We carved some pumpkins,

we ate more mini candy bars than should be acceptable for twenty people, let alone two,

...and we contemplated dressing up.

...but some things are better left to other people, or places, or times.

Maybe next year we'll do Halloween the right way. Maybe next year...

Todo, we're not in Phoenix anymore...

Ammon is adjusting nicely to Wyoming culture.

While he didn't actually kill the deer...

...he is butchering it afterwards...

Silly Ammon...you're supposed to cook it first!
The final product (well, the pre-dinner final product anyhow):

Life at the top

So...we're not only extremely good looking, but extremely smart! (Just kidding...kind of). Ammon got an A on his Algebra final and Brelynn did the same with her Advertising midterm! What a relief...

AND...

Ammon just landed a sweeeeeett job. Okay, maybe not "sweeeeeett," but it's a good job and we're definitely excited! Ammon, the optician, starts this new gig as soon as he passes his drug test and background check (cross your fingers folks, haha).

An Oily Success

Things needed for a successful oil change:
  • A vehicle, or two (this part is very important)

  • Oil pan (conveniently borrowed from the cousin next door)

  • New oil & oil filter (the filter is there, I promise)

  • A handy new socket wrench set

  • Time to waste

  • A camera
  • And a wife who likes the way you look in coveralls (obviously, this does not apply to the oil-changing ladies out there)
